...that January 1st has kicked off the New Year in English speaking countries since the adoption of the British Calendar At of 1751? Prior to that, the New year began on March 25th.
Yes, I am a fountain of useless knowledge.
I have no resolutions, I change my way of doing things all the time. I don't need today to make me do it. Persevering through the changes I make year round, that's another story. Ya, I still have work to do. I'm not nearly as groovy as you all thought. Oh, wait...you don't think I'm that cool? I'm not surprised. ;-P
Have a great day! I'm off to take down Christmas decorations and watch football (maybe).

Maybe on what...taking down decorations or watching football?
My Christmas decorating and undecorating took about a sum total of 3 minutes combined. That is how long it took to place two plywood cutout snowmen on the front porch. Hey...I had to decorate some. My neighbors ALL had lights on their houses.
As for us, no kids at home and no kids visiting (except for our 35 year old son who is single), so there was no incentive to really decorate. We didn't even put up a tree this year.
Ordinarily, when we have a tree, it is a live and root-balled one that can later be planted.
Anyway, happy new year to all.
Terry
