I'm just shy of bedrest. (UPDATED)

I am still progressing and Jonathan is currently picking up medication to stop contractions. The doctor wants me to go at least 2 more weeks (which would set me at 32 1/2 weeks for delivery), but she thinks I can go 4 (which would be 34 1/2 weeks at delivery). I am only allowed out every 2-3 days for no more then 1 1/2 hours and not by myself (I'm 27 and have to have a babysitter).

I have another ultrasound Tuesday, and Monday I begin non-stress tests twice a week (Monday and Thursday) at the hospital. My regular OB visits are now weekly, with progress checks.

I am upset, I am having trouble dealing with the thought of the babies in NICU and me being discharged, which is what my OB thinks will happen. I am thankful for the decision to have the babies in Norman. It's hard for me to accept help even from my family, but I can't do this alone.

UPDATE

Jonathan did let me go to Wal-Mart this afternoon to buy Victoria a new bike. It appears the babies if they make it 4 weeks will arrive near her 6th birthday. Unfortunately he made me ride the little motor cart. I guess it's a vanity thing, but it was very degrading

Sara,
My sister was born at 28weeks and went home after 71 days in the NICU I won't lie, it was rough for my mom at first. But the nurses are were really great and quelched her fears. God is awesome and Aliya didn't have any problems.
Oh and just because they might not come home with you doesn't make them confused about who's their mommy is. They will know you.
Let me know if you have any questions I can pass on to my mom

Sara,

The best rest is sooo hard! I had to do six months of bed rest with Corinthia. But it was worth every minute I whined aobut it! ;) Keeping you in my prayers.

Hang in there! :) My kids were born at 24 weeks...
You're doing a great job! Stay off your feet and MIND THE DOCTOR.

I'll be thinking about you as I laugh loud and obnoxiously~~that's my favorite way. :)

Just to chime in because I haven't in a long time. Primarily this is to give good news. Sometime back, I posted on Cam's website that I was going to be a grandpa.

Well, it happened. Nathaniel Jack was born on May 3, weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces, and was 20 and 1/4 inches long.

He and his mother are both doing well. Me? Well, I am officially an "Old Fogey" now. Grandpa and yesterday I turned 60. Aaaarrrggghhh!!!

Oh, by the way. In your post with the pregnancy pictures you mentioned your hair. Personally, I have always liked long hair on a woman. Granted, short hair may be easier to deal with on a daily basis, but I think long hair just looks more elegant.
